Description
Fresno County was proud to join community members and partners on Friday, July 18, 2025, to celebrate the Grand Opening of Cherry Crossing, a new 72-unit affordable housing development in Sanger, CA—including 18 homes specifically for farmworker families. This milestone reflects a shared commitment to expanding access to safe, high-quality housing and building vibrant, inclusive communities. Cherry Crossing features energy-efficient homes, a central community hub, and outdoor spaces that promote connection, play, and wellness. As part of our investment in community infrastructure, Fresno County allocated $210,000 in American Rescue Plan Act funding to Self-Help Enterprises for the purchase of a play structure, bicycle racks, and recreation equipment. These amenities will support a healthier living environment for children, youth, and future residents, helping to strengthen the overall well-being of the Cherry Crossing neighborhood. We congratulate all the partners involved in making this project a reality and look forward to the lasting impact it will have in the region.
