We are proud to honor the Communicable Disease Investigation (CDI) Team from the Fresno County Department of Public Health! This incredible team is a quiet yet powerful force, working around the clock to keep Fresno County residents safe. From urgent responses to measles, rabies exposures, and H5N1 avian flu, to the daily investigation of infectious diseases, they bring speed, expertise, and compassion to every case. At the heart of this work is a group of professionals led by Supervisor Maria Rangel, whose steady leadership and care for the community guide the team through some of the County’s toughest public health challenges.
